about

Lyrics from a William Butler Yeats poem,
"The Stolen Child"...

written in 1886
"The poem is based on Irish legend and concerns faeries beguiling a child to come away with them. Yeats had a great interest in Irish mythology about faeries resulting in his publication of Fairy and Folk Tales of the Irish Peasantry in 1888 and Fairy Folk Tales of Ireland in 1892. The places mentioned in the poem are in Leitrim and Sligo where Yeats spent much of his childhood."

about

Heidi Harris New Hampshire

Heidi's creative practice is based on an exploration and intermingling of traditional and non-traditional sound sources.

“I don’t think Heidi Harris records songs. I think she creates ecosystems masquerading as songs. This is a truly important artist. There’s a strange twist to everything she does. Light/dark, fragile/hard. You think it’s this? It’s never really this.”
